Fructose allergy

Monday, November 30th, 2009

I recently learned that in addition to white sugar, I am allergic
to fructose. Do all fruits contain fructose? Is there such a thing as
fructose-free honey?

TIA,

Are Amalgam Fillings Safe?

Monday, November 30th, 2009

I’m just back from the dentist office from a teeth cleaning.  While
there I discussed amalgam filling safety with my dentist.  He feels
that the evidence supports the conclusion that amalgam fillings are
safe, that they pose no health problem.  From the discussion I gather
that the fear by many is that (1) ground off filling material will be
swallowed and the mercury content in the filling will be toxic and/or
(2) mercury in the filling will leach out of the filling over time and
be absorbed in the body where it will be toxic.  My dentist’s belief is
that the quantity of mercury is so small in amalgam fillings that they
pose no risk.

Any definitive studies that you know of that supports or refutes the
toxicity of amalgam fillings.  Also is there a difference in affect
between fillings under crowns and those that are exposed?  What are
the symptoms, if any, resulting from the toxicity of the fillings?
Should I have my 6 amalgam fillings removed?

Thanks for any information.

Manganese helps balance iron levels the same way magnesium balances
calcium levels, OTOH an acid environment helps iron absorption, for
which Vit C can be helpful.

Robert Haas, Choline Cocktails

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Hi All,

I just read Robet Haas’ book "Eat Smart Think Smart" and I  had just a few
questions.  Does anyone know what credentials this man holds other than
working for hollywood stars.  The guy goes on and on about his
relationship to Cher, Ivan Lendl (not a h-wood star I know) and the like
are these people his credentials or is the guy really valid?

Also he talks about a choline cocktail being a great way to clear
thinking…  Also helping in weight loss.  He talks about the meltdown
formula in weight loss.  Is this safe (it’s a mixture of L-carnitine,
Chromium Picolonate, Choline, and ephedra) other than amping you up.

I am looking for some help in losing some weight (10 lbs).  I am a
marathon runner and need to get leaner.  I appreciate any additional help.
You can e-mail me at (H…@aol.com).

Thanks in advance,

Hil

WANTED: Mail Order Source for Evening Primrose Oil

Monday, November 30th, 2009

We used to get Evening Primrose Oil from any Boots drugstore in
the UK…it is almost impossible to find here in the US. If
anyone is a distributor for a line that includes this, let
me know, or if you know of a source.

Thanks.
