Excessive Plaque Formation – What can be Done?

A friend of mine has problems with his gums, because all the
plaque that has formed has caused the gums to receed.
The plaque forms back so fast, he has to go removing it
every four weeks!

What could be the cause of this and what can be done?

He really would appreciate any suggestions!

Think of plaque as a kind of smudge resulting from improper digestion. This
person too probably suffers from Digestive Fire, the Heat causing the gum
    tissue to be singed back.

Coffee, coffee, coffee. And skipped or delayed meals. It is an epidemic in
    our country.

That’s what I was told about my receding gums, but changing made no
difference. Then I discovered the real cause: sleeping with my mouth
open due to a sinus problem. Once that was fixed the plaque/scale
    problem went away.

I have a similiar situation with visits to my dentist every 3 months to scale
and scrape plaque buildup. In January I started a soft tissue management
program with a product called AP-24 which consists of a anti-plaque toothpaste,
    floss and mouth rinse.  N
ot exactly sure why it works, but has something to do with a temporary coating
effect on the tooth surface.  Long story short,I have not had to have plaque
scraped                                since January.  Pretty amazing stuff.

Co Q 10 is an enzyme that can be found in health food stores, and that is
reported to keep plaque from forming on teeth

I was told by dentist to use solution of one part hydrogen peroxide and
one part water to rinse mouth, and it helps. Good luck.
