Info on Pre-meds for Dental appts

I have mitral valve prolapse.  I would like info on hoeopathic/natural
remedies as pre-meds for dental appts.

    Doug:
    IMHO……mitral valve prolapse and the chance of bacteremia and
    subsequent endocarditis with dental work is pretty serious stuff.  You may
    choose to supplement with alternative treatments that help kill bacteria (
    you’ll find lots of suggestions here) but please dont *Not* take the
    antibiotics prescribed by your provider as well.  I’ve seen WAY too many
    cases of endocarditis severe enought to totally eat the MV, requiring
    invasive, risky surgery, that its just not worth taking any chances!!  Of
    course there is the position that antibiotics diminsh your immune system
    and all of that….Not without merit, but in this case,  i would not fool
    around with sucess…..its only 3-4 doses for one day….no biggie ..the
    benefits *way* outweigh the risks
