Ginger is a listed hallucinogen, so too much may produce effects not
intended. Having been a pelagic birder for several years, and having no
stomach for it, I strongly recommend Dramamine over ginger root. You can try
it, but make provision for her spending the trip at the rail.

Can you document this claim? What "list" are you speaking of?
