I have suffering eyes and nose allergies for long time, feel itcy in eyes
and nose, nose especially recently. Eyes seems to be related to enviroment,
I live in Los Angeles most of the time, but eyes itch seems lessen when I
travel to other city.
Nose feel so itch, sneeze a lot, even become bloody.
I tried antihistamine, but just keep me so drowzy, can not do much work.
Wondering if any herbal or alternative remedy can improve my physical
condition, to lessen the allergic symptoms.
BTW: I am taking Kombucha drink, but not much help.

Cheryl Writes:
First of all always work with your diet in combination with any
other remedies. Just in case your symptoms are due to more than just
inhalants. Some feel that allergies are due to excessive accumulation
of waste in the system due to incorrect diet, which has the effect of
stirring up toxins in the body.– Anyways Herb recommendation: Golden
Seal. Dietary Aid: (1) Bee Pollen (Many allergies such as asthma or hay
fever have been caused by pollen entering the respiratory system. Bee
Pollen can build immunity by acting as a barrier against the inhaled
pollens. Start with small amounts). (2) Honey (raw) (has been
effective in the treatment of 90% of all allergies.* Raw honey contains
all the pollen dust and mold that causes 90% of all allergies)* (3) And
of course – lots of Garlic.
*From Carlson Wade’s (Bee Pollen and Your Health)
A Natural antihistamine:
cut orange peels in small strips
soak in apple cider vinegar for several hours
drain and cook down in honey until soft (but not the consistency
of candy)
keep in refrigerator – Use as needed – Relieves stuffiness and
clogged passages.
Tyrosine (Amino acid) – a lot of allergies are treated with
this.
Hope this helps.

Hi John! I just read Cheryl’s reply to you, and agree that bee pollen/bee
propolis may be worth looking into. I’ve read that you should start with
small doses of bee products and work your way up. I personally don’t do
well when I eat simple sugars, so I’m biased against the honey, but I have
read it can be of benefit too. One thing I wanted to mention about her
comment re: goldenseal – if you are allergic to ragweed, this herb is from
the same family. Some people have reactions.
You may wish to do some reading on the bioflavanoid QUERCITIN, and the
precursor to panothenic acid PANTHENINE. Both, I have read, are giving
good results to allergy sufferers.
I don’t think you can go wrong with taking a good multi with extra
antioxidants at the least. Also, you may wish to read up on evening
primrose oil. It is supposed to help, too, and I’ve been taking it for
years for my skin with no ill effects (and several positive ones, I feel.)
But the new articles are really highlighting the quercitin and
panthenine I mention above. Good luck. Deb Steinberger
