Role of DLPA, DPA Chocolate and Nutrasweet in Pain Relief

Have read that dlpa and dpa chocolate and nutrasweet have strong effect
on relieving pain. Can anyone advise why and recommended dosages of
each.

DPA (D-phenylalanine) inhibits the catabolism of endorphins and
enkephalins. DLPA is 50% DPA. (standard dosing I’ve seen is 500 mg
    DLPA 4X daily)

As far as I know, chocolate only works by constricting blood
vessels (theobromine and theophilline?), kind of like the way
Excedrine combines caffeine with aspirin. Chocolate also contains
small amounts of phenethylamine (PEA) which might elevate mood, but
whether it would lessen pain, I have no idea.

Nutrasweet??? No idea. I would even speculate that, as an
excitotoxin, aspartame might *highten* chronic pain.

I, also, would be very interested in seeing information on this.

I didn’t know that the adrenal cortex was a suggestible organ.

What people do not realize is that all the body is, to some extend, under the
control of the brain. It is not surprising that sendiing proper suggestions has
an `indirect’ effect on other organs.

What do you think about using hypnosis to direct the body’s immune system
to fight cancer?  Are you a hypnotist or hypnotherapist?  My son has been
using hypnosis to help my husband fight his cancer.  Do you have any
knowledge of others who have tried this?
